DESCRIPTION:Family event – Free entry \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n12:30pm – Campfire crafts and head wreath workshops \n\n\n\n1:00pm – Live music by Backalong – Cornish folk duo \n\n\n\n2:00pm – Storytelling  \n\n\n\n2:30pm – Procession and blessing the tree \n\n\n\n3:00pm – Live music by Backalong – Cornish folk duo (dancing encouraged) \n\n\n\nJoin us for the annual toasting of the apple harvest\, featuring much clanging of pots\, singing of songs\, and actual slices of toast! Dress for outdoor celebrations. Mask making and pots and pans are encouraged to help us ward off evil spirits that may be lurking in the orchard and to wake up the apple trees from their winter slumber! \n\n\n\nWe’ll be serving BBQ hotdogs and a warm vegetable hot pot with homemade bread along with mulled cider and spiced apple juice.  \n\n\n\nHeart and Soul cafe will also remain open from 8:30am – 4:30am serving their usual menu. \n\n\n\nFree parking at Newquay Tretherras school  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPhotographed for The Duchy of Cornwall by Hugh Hastings

SUMMARY:Branching Out - Code Club
DESCRIPTION:We currently run open sessions once a month at Newquay Orchard. These are free and no booking is required. If you are under 16 you need to bring a responsible adult with you but they can have a go at coding and making as well! \n\n\n\nWe have laptops\, micro:bits and other equipment you can borrow but you can also bring along your own. If you are not sure where to start we have a range of fun exercises to work through. We’ve had all ages\, from about 5 years to over 70\, trying these and everyone comes away smiling. If you’ve got something particular you want to learn or have a project you are working through give us a challenge. You can also help us improve some of things we have been building for the club.
