Jordan’s Story

Jordan moved into supported living with Brandon Trust in Redruth in December, after previously living in emergency accommodation. Since moving, Jordan has been focused on building a positive future for himself and exploring new opportunities.

Jordan enjoys football, music, festivals, fishing and keeping active, and is always keen to get involved in things that help him stay busy and meet new people. One of his support staff introduced him to Newquay Orchard, and Jordan decided to sign up for their 12-week course.

At first, Jordan felt nervous and a little anxious about starting something new. Like many people, he was unsure if he would enjoy it or whether it would be the right fit for him. However, as the weeks went on, Jordan’s confidence began to grow.

Now, Jordan says he loves being part of Newquay Orchard and looks forward to attending each session. His favourite parts of the experience have been meeting new people, learning about growing, and discovering new opportunities and activities that are out there for him.

For Jordan, Newquay Orchard means much more than just a course. It has become a place where he can connect with others, learn new skills, and think about his future.

Looking ahead, Jordan is excited about his next steps. He is planning to sign up as a volunteer at Newquay Orchard so he can continue learning, build on the skills he has developed, and stay involved with the orchard team. In the future, Jordan hopes this experience will help him gain the confidence and practical skills needed to move into some form of employment.

Jordan’s journey shows how the right support, opportunities, and community connections can help someone grow in confidence, develop new skills, and take positive steps towards their future.
