Heart and Soul is our café where the community comes together to eat and connect.
It’s a place where everyone is welcome!
Open Daily, 9:00am – 4:30pm
Our food is grown in our market garden just down the path from the café – food steps not food miles. Our volunteers grow and harvest the food, learning valuable skills, improving their health and wellbeing and forming lasting friendships along the way.
Each mouthful is a taste of a healthier and vibrant community and a brighter future for nature and the climate. We ensure our prices are fair and accessible and every penny spent in the café helps us continue to do what we do.
Meet The Team
Ben
Ben heads up the kitchen team and is inspired by the produce grown right here at Newquay Orchard. The food revolves around amazing ingredients, simply prepared, delivering fantastic flavours straight from the garden, working with nature and nurturing the community.
Lewis
With a passion for creative flavours and attention to detail, Lewis has been inspired by the simplicity and freshness of Mediterranean cuisine, and he showcases this within our summer menus. Creating simple, honest food with a classical, no-fuss style. Lewis loves working with amazing produce from our market garden and wandering around our site for inspiration using the freshest produce.
Adam
Adam discovered his love for ingredients and flavours in the bustling kitchens of London, working alongside Marco Pierre White and Mark Hicks. After moving to Cornwall, Adam continued his discovery of food and now specialises in wonderful middle eastern inspired salads, fragrant curries and amazing cakes.

The café is open every day for the community to enjoy and taste what the Orchard has to offer. Pop in for a delicious breakfast or lunch made with today’s harvest or treat yourself to cake and coffee.

A Supper Club with Heart & Soul
Our Supper Club showcases all the amazing ways our produce can be crafted into the finest feasts while bringing the community together for a shared table experience. Held monthly on the first Friday, we explore the tastes of the season and our chefs’ talents and influences with a big focus on flavour.

Work experience
Heart & Soul is more than a café; it’s a space which provides meaningful work experience opportunities for our students, interns and volunteers, helping people build confidence, develop practical skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Many of the people who work alongside us are developing skills for future employment, overcoming barriers to work, or taking important steps towards greater independence. From customer service and food preparation to teamwork, communication and workplace routines, the café offers real-world experience in a welcoming and inclusive setting.
We are proud to employ and support people with additional needs, creating opportunities that recognise individual strengths and potential.
