I first moved down to Newquay in 2022 from Brighton. After about a year I was trying find ways to become more social in the Newquay community. Someone recommended Newquay Orchard, and I thought maybe I could try doing voluntary work here, because I love nature and it’s got a good social community vibe.
So I found that this was the place I wanted to work at, because I find gardening very relaxing and cathartic, and all the staff here and the volunteers are very friendly. They’ve been very supportive whenever I’ve felt stressed and upset.
I’ve been here three years now, and I’m very happy working here!
