Newquay Orchard is open to everyone to explore and connect. We’re always open for walks, learning opportunities or a chat and a coffee with friends. Please be mindful of others when visiting and follow COVID-19 guidance to keep our community safe and well.
Canteen at the Orchard opened in Spring 2021 and visitors can now enjoy takeaway and dining in options for hot drinks and food. The team are confident they can safely provide their service and have put in place a number of measures to ensure their customers are safe. These measure include;
- Hand sanitising and masks upon entry for all of those able to wear them
- A one-way system when ordering from the counter
- Social distancing at all times
Volunteering and COVID-19
We are constantly reviewing the way we work with our volunteers to make sure we are keeping everyone safe and are following government guidelines; following strict procedures for hygiene and record keeping, and ensuring social distancing is maintained at all times. We are currently back again working at our normal capacity with volunteers and are delighted to see everyone back onsite and we will continue to ensure ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Here at Newquay Orchard we provide a vital support group for many people who are most in need during times of isolation and we are thankful that we can continue to play our part in protecting our communities’ wellbeing and helping people back into work. We’d like to extend a big thank you to our community who were a huge support as we navigated the new ways of working during the COVID-19 pandemic.

How is Newquay Orchard making changes?
More space – all volunteering is outdoors across our 7 acre site
More cleaning – more cleaning facilities for tools and equipment
More hand sanitation – more handwashing facilities and personal gloves for all volunteers
Track and Trace – all volunteers pre-book and we keep safe and secure records of all who have taken part
Social distancing – 2m is maintained at all times
Confidence and innovation – keeping everyone safe is key and we will continue to adapt
