Newquay Orchard Mini Fayre
June 15, 2024 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

The Newquay Orchard Fayre brings together the best of our community. It’s a celebration of the Orchard as a beautiful space for everyone, featuring the best of local food, crafts and entertainment.
Change of plans! Due to the wind forecast this weekend as well as a touch of Cornish summer rain we have made the decision to pivot our plans and will now be holding a Mini Orchard Fayre!
We will still have market stalls, workshops, games and activities, incredible food from @heartandsoulorchard and entertainment but we are reducing the offering and bringing it indoors. So come along and get out of the wet and wind (though you can potentially still wang a welly ?) and join us to support small businesses and help us raise funds for our amazing social programmes, education and health and wellbeing activities, come take part in a taster of what we are all about!

Sproutspoken 1pm-2pm
A specially formed SproutSpoken Collective take to the stage at 1pm for an hour of light-hearted spoken wordsmithery. Featuring Rob Barratt, Kerry Vincent and Jo Mason.
Rob Barratt
Comic poet and friend of SproutSpoken, Rob Barratt, has performed at venues and festivals all over the UK. He’ll take you on a journey to the outer reaches of his brain – a strange place where you’re likely to hear about squid, the weather in Aberdeen, data-driven education, his relationship with potatoes and tuk-tuks… plus why he doesn’t want to swim with dolphins. A Dudley-born, brain-tickling, word-mangling North Cornwall-based poet, who combines clever wordplay with satire, parody and audience participation.
Kerry Vincent
Kerry Vincent is a mother of nine from Constantine near Helston. She has written rhyming, rhythmic verse since childhood and then published her first collection in 2009. She has supported Hollie McNish (in Newquay), written and staged a pantomime and play, contributed to numerous anthologies and is also part of the ‘Mor Poets’ project. She currently has a second collection of poetry being edited! Kerry is “delightfully beguiling in the way she finds the profound in the day-to-day”.
Jo Mason
A mother, teacher, lover, fighter, smiler, scowler, wine drinker, beach lover, festival goer, doggo best friend and now, (relative) newbie writer of rhymes! Jo was last scene with SproutSpoken both at the Bude Pop-Up last month and also in April, starring in “You Are Here” – an immersive lyrical experience taking place at dusk on the beach in her hometown of Looe. Get ready to giggle!
Orchard Voices 2:30pm
Come and have some fun. Enjoy the food and drink. Dance, laugh, chat, tell your friends!
This free event begins on Saturday 15th June at 10am and runs to 3pm.
