On Saturday 20th July, Newquay Orchard staff, volunteers and learners revelled in yet another successful Newquay Pride march.
Despite the rain early on, no amount of wet weather could dampen the party atmosphere, as a giant Pride flag was unfurled along Newquay high street, followed by our customary troop of wheelbarrows, decorated in Pride colours by our dedicated team of volunteers..
Back at our stall on the Killacourt, Pride attendees young and old stopped by for a chat, some colouring-in, and to try their luck at winning a Grown bag of fresh vegetables, by guessing its correct weight. Congratulations to Clare, who took home the veg bag with a guess of 2.8 kg – just 14 g over!
Newquay Pride is a great occasion for us to showcase our commitment to offering a fun, inclusive and welcoming space, built by the community, for the community.
