On Saturday 16th November, Treehouse Arts CIC held their first pop-up event at Newquay Community Orchard.
The event, aimed at families, offered arts and crafts, storytelling and music by the fire and hot food cooked in the Orchard’s community kitchen, Heart & Soul. Guests could enjoy roasted red pepper and butterbean stew, warm apple juice, homemade chocolate brownie and more.
Over 80 tickets were sold for the event, which utilised popular areas of the Orchard, such as the classroom for hot drinks, the community kitchen for lunch and the Den for music and craft entertainment and a warming fire.
Liz Wright, Director at Treehouse, said the event was a ‘wonderful success.’
“It was so lovely to see so many children and parents coming together to enjoy entertainment and food and the Orchard was the perfect setting.”
The event also included storytelling and a fire by Bushcraft company and Newquay Community Orchard partner, Imagine Outdoors.
