Horticulture masterclass at Newquay Orchard

Newquay Orchard are hosting a series of Horticulture Masterclasses teaching green fingered participants theory and practice of gardening at home. The next masterclass will take place on Tuesday 19 April, 9am – 1pm, at Newquay Orchard and includes lunch at Canteen at the Orchard. You can book tickets now.

Leading the masterclasses are horticultural experts Hetty Ninnis, sustainable landscapes manager at Newquay Orchard and Sarah Anthony, education manager at the community orchard. Between them they will be sharing their expertise after working in gardens across Cornwall.

The Horticulture Masterclass at Newquay Orchard is perfect for anyone new to gardening or for those who want to develop their technical knowledge in a safe and welcoming environment.

April’s masterclass will be teaching participants about seed sowing practice and theory, vegetive propagation and relevant information on pests, disease and disorder knowledge.

All the information taught in the Horticulture Masterclass will be based on sustainable organic principles as these are techniques Newquay Orchard and our team are proud to uphold in our own food production.

Refreshments will be provided and the day will also include lunch at Canteen at the Orchard so participants can taste the herbs and vegetables grown in Newquay Orchard’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) market garden.

Tickets cost £50 per person and this price includes all of the materials needed on the day as well as refreshments and lunch. Find out more below and book your tickets.
